The Leading Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in Singapore 2025

Drop in job performance
Missing deadlines, producing lower-quality work, or making uncharacteristic mistakes.
Increased absenteeism
Frequent sick days, arriving late, or being absent without any concrete reason.
Reduced engagement
Lack of motivation for work-related tasks or a gradual withdrawal from team activities.
An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a workplace initiative designed to support employees' mental, emotional, and psychological well-being, increasing productivity and overall organisational wellness. It typically provides confidential access to counselling services, mental health resources, and support for personal or work-related issues, such as stress, anxiety, and burnout.
Our EAP counselling sessions aim to promote a healthier, more productive workforce by helping employees manage life’s challenges early, before they impact performance or well-being.
No, EAPs are not mandatory in Singapore. While there is no legal requirement for employers to provide an EAP, many companies voluntarily adopt them as part of their workplace wellness strategy, or upon the request of their employees. With growing mental health awareness, more organisations in Singapore are investing in EAPs as part of their employee benefits to support employee well-being.
However, the EAP utilisation rates across the industry remain low, averaging at 3%. In stark contrast, ThoughtFull’s EAP boasts a 43% utilisation rate, demonstrating the real impact of accessible, personalised mental health support.
ThoughtFull simplifies mental health for employees and employers.
As pioneers of text-based coaching in Asia, we've developed a comprehensive, scalable platform that normalises mental health care. Our individualised approach focuses on prevention, growth, and crisis support, helping to build resilient, thriving workplaces.
Through ThoughtFull's Enterprise Programme, we provide organisations with the ThoughtFull Insights dashboard, offering actionable, measurable insights into employee wellbeing. Our tailored Activation Programmes further boost employee engagement, motivation, and long-term success, driving positive outcomes in both the company’s production goals and raising corporate wellness levels.
The onboarding process starts with an HR onboarding session where we work together to co-create your employee wellbeing program launch. ThoughtFull will provide all the necessary launch communications, which your HR team can then share with employees.
The employee launch includes a comprehensive review and a live demo of the ThoughtFull app to ensure a smooth start. After the launch, we'll collaborate with the HR team to plan webinars and other ongoing engagement activities to keep the momentum going.
As part of the Activation Program, we provide more than just access to our ThoughtFull professionals through an app. We partner with your HR team to actively support employee wellbeing, offering onsite or virtual launches, webinars on a wide range of topics (e.g. self-care and wellbeing tips in the workplace), critical incident stress management, onsite booths or counselling as needed, a 24/7 hotline for employees in crisis, providing immediate assistance when it's needed most.
Our goal is to create a comprehensive support system that promotes mental wellbeing and engagement across your organisation.
ThoughtFull Insights provides HR teams with actionable data to optimise organisational wellness on multiple levels, providing insights into employee engagement, behavioural trends, and health outcomes. By understanding the factors driving employee wellbeing, you can create tailored mental health programmes with more targeted outcomes.
At ThoughtFull World, safeguarding your data and privacy is our top priority. We are proud to have achieved ISO-27001 certification, an internationally recognised standard for information security management.
To protect user accounts, our ThoughtFull app uses two-factor authentication, adding an extra layer of security. Users can also choose to remain anonymous by using a nickname within the app. All communication between users and mental health professionals is secured with banking-grade 256-bit encryption.
In the highly unlikely event of a data breach, our encrypted databases ensure that the data is rendered meaningless. Additionally, all connections between the app, website, and server are protected by SSL encryption, following best security practices.
All ThoughtFull Professionals (TFPs) undergo a rigorous verification and onboarding process to ensure the highest standards of care. Firstly, each TFP must be a certified mental health professional, whether a counsellor, psychologist, or psychiatrist, with the required academic qualifications and practicum hours to obtain relevant credentials.
Secondly, we conduct due diligence to verify their identity, certifications, and licensure. Once verified, all TFPs undergo training to ensure proficiency in delivering high-quality digital coaching and therapy, tailored specifically to the unique requirements of digital mental health services in Asia.
Only when they finish their training will our TFPs be officially recognised and introduced onto our platform. With the largest exclusive network of mental health professionals in the region, ThoughtFull delivers localised care in 28 languages and dialects, offering support in a wide range of mental health challenges, from low self-esteem and anger management problems to relationship issues and negative body image.
