Who are the professionals?

All Professionals on ThoughtFull Online Video Therapy are certified mental health professionals (counselors, psychologists, or psychiatrists) who have gone through the required academic and practicum hours to obtain their relevant certifications and credentials.

Is ThoughtFull Online Video Therapy right for me?

ThoughtFull Online Video Therapy may be suitable for you if you're looking to improve the quality of your life. Whenever there is anything that interferes with your general happiness or prevents you from achieving your goals, we may be able to support.

However, ThoughtFull Online Video Therapy may not be ideal if any of the following is true:

- You are in need of urgent mental health care or are at risk of causing harm to yourself or others

- You are a minor or you are under the care of a legal guardian

- You are in an urgent crisis or an emergency situation

- You have been diagnosed with a severe mental illness, or if you have been advised to be in psychological supervision or psychiatric care

- You do not have a device that can connect to the Internet or you do not have a reliable Internet connection

Some specific issues that our Professionals have experience in are stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, anger, sleeping troubles, family conflicts, LGBTQ matters, grief, self esteem, career and work performance related issues and more.

How do I pay?

Payment can be made easily over on our booking platform. We accept debit cards and major credit cards.

How do I know this is an effective form of counselling?

Recent psychological research has shown that online platforms can be as effective as traditional face-to-face psychotherapy.

What are the benefits of ThoughtFull Online Video Therapy?

Many people enjoy the convenience of online video therapy. They find that it saves time since they don’t have to commute to appointments.

Scheduling can also be more convenient. Live video therapy appointments may be available during evenings and weekends.


 

What technical equipment do I need for online video therapy?

You will need an internet-connected electronic device like a computer, phone, or tablet with a microphone and video access to meet with your therapist. Some clients also prefer using headphones during their sessions.

Beyond technical equipment, it is also important to find a space free from distractions, where you can be fully comfortable opening up about personal and challenging topics in a live video therapy session.

How is my data and privacy protected?

Safeguarding your data and privacy is of utmost importance to us. ThoughtFull goes to great lengths to protect client data and privacy.

Our online video therapy platform complies with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Rule.

All messages between clients and Professionals are secured and encrypted by banking-grade 256-bit encryption. Our databases are encrypted, rendering such data meaningless in the very highly unlikely event of being stolen. All data connection between mobile app, website to server are encrypted with SSL following best practices.

What is the rescheduling and cancellation policy?

If you need to reschedule or cancel your session once it has been confirmed, please let us know by emailing coach@thoughtfull.world with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellation within 24 hours of the confirmed session is considered as late cancellation and will result in a forfeiture of 50% of the session fee.

No-shows for confirmed sessions will be treated similarly as late cancellations.
