With this option, you can send asynchronous text messages or audio notes to your licensed therapist at any time, and receive text-based therapy whenever or wherever you are.  

Our ThoughtFull professionals will respond within the day from Mondays to Fridays, as soon as they are available. This is a great option for clients who want to take the time to formulate their thoughts and who may not be comfortable speaking face-to-face or on the phone.

Video calls

Online therapy via video calls is also available as an option on our ThoughtFull app.

Offering an experience almost similar to an in-person therapy session, video calls allow the licensed therapist and client to see each other’s facial expressions and body language, as well as hear each other’s tone of voice. How are ThoughtFull Professionals (eg. coaches, counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists) verified?

All ThoughtFull Professionals (TFPs) are required to go through a rigorous verification and onboarding process to ensure the highest standards of care. Firstly, each TFP must be a certified mental health professional whether a counsellor, psychologist, or psychiatrist, with the required academic qualifications and practicum hours to obtain relevant credentials.

Secondly, we conduct due diligence to verify their identity, certifications, and licensure. Once verified, all TFPs undergo training to make sure they are highly proficient in delivering effective digital coaching and therapy, tailored specifically to the unique requirements of digital mental health services in Asia. 

You can rest assured that our licensed and qualified therapists will be able to provide you with the support, encouragement or hard-hitting advice you need to help you get through your mental slumps.

Is text-based coaching an effective substitute for traditional face-to-face therapy?

Yes, we have conducted an efficacy study on text-based coaching and it shows improvement in symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. In addition to this study, we've partnered with several private organisations to develop whitepapers like Project Cheria to demonstrate benefits to using the ThoughtFull platform. We are continuously trying to expand our research efforts.

While asynchronous text-based coaching has proven to be effective, we note that not all cases may be suitable for online therapy and digital platforms. For these cases, our ThoughtFull Professionals do offer face-to-face therapy at our ThoughtFull center.
