#BTS – Behind The Scenes
Joan Low is the Founder and CEO of ThoughtFull. As a caregiver to a loved one with mental afflictions for the past 20 years, Joan was compelled to leave the world of finance in Hong Kong to found ThoughtFull in South East Asia in hopes of addressing the vast gaps in the mental health space.
Prior to this, Joan was a banker at J.P. Morgan for 6 years. She has lived in North America, Europe, and North Asia before making her way back home.
Joan is an advocate of, and speaker on mental wellness, mission-led entrepreneurship, technology for good, and inclusive hiring. Together with her team, she hopes to advocate these causes not just by speaking, but by doing.

Where others aim to inform, we aim to transform
ThoughtFull has undoubtedly created a safe and welcoming
space for those suffering from mental health issues to just be
themselves. Their non-judgmental atmosphere that they exude
makes you really feel like you can just be yourself. In a society
where this is quite rare I am grateful that ThoughtFull has come
out to raise awareness on issues that should be addressed in
society today. ThoughtFull has given me hope that one day
society will accept mental health for what it is. Their continued
diligence and dedication to helping others has actually inspired
me to pursue a Psychology degree in order to help others like
me. Thank you ThoughtFull for giving me hope.
